Can't Stop Won't Stop

Wowza life and serving is getting busier and busier and I am not complaining!

This week was another fabulous week serving at Habitat for Humanity instead of just caulking I got to paint baseboards which was oh so great. There was only a small group who volunteered this week which is not normal for them but we got a lot done which was awesome. I got to work with this High School Senior who goes to cathedral catholic and is in a group that goes around and serves with non-profits, it was super fun getting to know her and working with her!

I started working in the Family History Center this week and realized that it is a lot easier than I though it was haha. Click some buttons, check some names, input some info, then bada bing bada boom you found a name.

I also started working in the Temple this week, I get to work on Thursday's and Saturdays and have loved every minute of it!

This weekend was also so great because we are gaining a new sister missionary. Sister Vargas! I got to go to the temple with her and go and hear her give her farewell talk which was so so good. She talked all about how her missionary purpose is to Serve like Christ served.

Lastly I got to attend 2 baptisms this weekend. The first was to a convert in the YSA ward named Les. The 2nd one I got to give a talk on baptism for. It was for a dear friends older sister. I am so grateful for seeing the light in both of their eyes and their faith and I am excited for Shea's and Les's future learning more in this gospel.

Quick spiritual thought from the good ole' Book of Alma. In chapter 5 it talks about what the people should do to gain salvation (which also applies to us) and verse 13 is a real good one. It talks about how the Nephites humbled themselves, put all their trust in God and were faithful until the end, talk about a MIGHTY change of heart for them that were struggling before. But I think we can all try to be like them and change our hearts in one way or another. We may already believe in a God but maybe we can change our hearts by being a little more compassionate to others or by not judging others or not by getting mad when someone cuts you off and you are late to an assignment (not that thats happened to me or anything 🙃) I just challenge you all to Change your heart someway for the better, and to open your hearts to find new ways God wants you to learn, serve and love!

Love you all!
